We've acquired some new territory in the digital landscape:
The last one is special.
In German, "Pusteblume" is what children call a dandelion when it's gone to seed. The fluffy white ball you blow on to make a wish. "Puste" means breath, "Blume" means flower.
The breath-flower.
Every child knows: you blow, and the seeds scatter to the wind. Each seed carries the potential for a new plant. No central authority decides where they land. No permission is needed. The wind carries them where they need to go.
This is how FOSS should spread.
Consider how a dandelion works:
One plant produces hundreds of seeds
Each seed is self-contained
The wind is the network
No seed asks permission to land
Where conditions are right, it grows
The new plant produces more seeds
The Oak Model (Centralized):

One giant tree
One location
One point of failure
The Dandelion Model (Decentralized):

Big Tech wants to be oaks. Permanent. Towering. Unmovable.
FOSS is dandelions. Everywhere. Unstoppable. Distributed.
Our new domains form a connected ecosystem:
| Domain | Role | Metaphor |
|---|---|---|
| digitalgarden.life | Primary presence | The main garden |
| digitalgarden.network | Technical infrastructure | The root system |
| digitalgarten.online | German community | Regional cultivation |
| pusteblume.online | Seed distribution | The spreading mechanism |
Together, they form a living, breathing, spreading organism.
This domain has one purpose: spread FOSS seeds.
"The dandelion doesn't ask permission to spread. It doesn't negotiate terms with the grass. It doesn't require a contract with the wind.
It simply... is. And in being, it spreads. And in spreading, it persists.
Be the dandelion."
The Black Rabbit watches the gardens. But the Black Rabbit also plants seeds.
Every black egg hidden in LivePlay, every console message, every /quests/quest-000 discovery — these are seeds.
The Black Rabbit asks: "Who controls where seeds can land?"
FOSS answers: "No one. That's the point."
Company → License → User → Payment → Permission → Use
Creator → Repository → Wind → Anywhere → Growth → More Seeds
You → Breath → Seeds → [∞ directions] → [∞ gardens] → [∞ new breath-flowers]
The domains are ready. The seeds are forming. The wind is rising.
What will pusteblume.online become?
The answer will emerge. Like dandelions, we don't over-plan. We create conditions for growth and trust the wind.
